Llano Texas - The Hub of the Hill Country |

Each year Llano receives thousands of visitors from all over Texas, the United States and the World. Visitors come to Llano and the Texas Hill Country for a variety of reasons. Starting in the spring, visitors flock to the area to experience the blooming of Texas wildflowers. The hill country explodes with Blue Bonnets, India Paint Brushes, Phlox and numerous other species of wildflowers. One species gives way to another as spring changes to summer. Also in the spring is the Llano Crawfish Open, a weekend long festival of live music, great food, golf and many other events. The Crawfish Open attracts both residents and visitors alike who enjoy a good time. In the summer, visitors come to enjoy a large number of outdoor activities. These include fishing and boating on Lake Buchanan, Inks Lake and Lake LBJ in the Highland Lakes. Hiking, rock climbing and birding are enjoyed at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. Wine enthusiasts can visit a large number of award winning vineyards and wineries in the surrounding hill country. In the fall, many hunters begin to visit the area. Whitetail deer, Rio Grande Turkey, Quail, and Dove are popular game animals. Also in the fall is Llano's Hertitage Days Festival and the Llano Chuckwagon Cookoff.
